Lastly, as mentioned in our analysis, a trend emerged in the (pre-Nemesis) later production years of extending the armscye topstitching onto the yoke trim.
As best we can tell, this style of topstitching was first seen during the 1998-1999 production year, comprising of Deep Space Nine's seventh season, Voyager's fifth season, and Insurrection.
Previous to that production year, the armscye topstitching had always begun and ended on the upper edge of the yoke trim.

The 1998-1999 production year, though, introduced the trend of beginning/extending the armscye trim on(to) the yoke and shoulder point trims. This trend was inconsistent but nevertheless prevalent in all three productions (Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Insurrection).
On Deep Space Nine, the most notable examples were Ezri, who was introduced at the beginning of that season/production year, and Bashir, who apparently got a new set of uniforms for Deep Space Nine's final season:

DS9, 7x3 "Afterimage" |
However, as noted, this was an inconsistent trend; many characters' and extras' uniforms remained topstitched as per the previous standard:

As you may recall, during the epic, 10-part conclusion to Deep Space Nine, Kira was given a field commission as a Starfleet officer, and, paradoxically, her jumpsuits appear to have been constructed differently; sometimes her armscye topstitching extended onto the yoke and shoulder point trim, and other times, it didn't - even in the same episode!

The costume department didn't seem particularly shy about showing the two styles of armscye topstitching on screen simultaneously; we saw this numerous times throughout Deep Space Nine's final season.

Such inconsistencies didn't only happen on Deep Space Nine; we saw the same discrepancies that year in Insurrection.
Whereas on Deep Space Nine it was primarily Bashir and Ezri whose uniforms showcased the "new" style of topstitching (not including other garments, such as Sisko's "captain jacket" and Ross' admiral jacket), in Insurrection, it was Data and Geordi. Data's jumpsuits actually changed during the movie, like Kira's did over Deep Space Nine's last few episodes.

Insurrection |

The other characters in Insurrection all appeared to have "normal" armscye topstitching:
The inconsistent trend continued (albeit intermittently) throughout the final two seasons of Voyager as well.

In a nutshell, Broccoli & co.'s jumpsuits on Voyager had the "new" topstitching, although Troi's jumpsuits did not - again, probably because she wore her existing jumpsuit(s) while production-hopping.
Interestingly, Admiral Paris' jacket also had the previous-style topstitching, so it really was a mash-up of styles! On all three productions!
As best we can tell, it was the Sisko, Admiral Ross, Bashir, Ezri, Data, Geordi, and Broccoli & co., whose various uniform garments had the "onto-the-trim" topstitching from 1998-2001; all others did not.
