Here's a real head-scratcher: remember how the DS9/NEM pant legs are sewn closed all the way around, unlike the VOY jumpsuit pant legs, which had a split at the bottom in the center front?
Well, that's true ... for everybody except Worf!

His jumpsuits' pant legs were consistently split, VOY jumpsuit style, both in Deep Space Nine and the TNG movies!

One might assume his initial DS9/NEM jumpsuits were simply recycled/repurposed VOY jumpsuits and nobody remembered to close the pant legs, and although still an error, it would make sense; it can be tough to keep track of all the construction standards of the various uniforms through the era (heh - believe us, it is), especially when they're still new and things are still being felt out and decided, not to mention a good bit of experimenting going on here and there.
What doesn't make sense is that Worf's (presumably then-newly-constructed) DS9/NEM jumpsuit still had split pant legs in Nemesis!
The hand seen was likely second unit, It may be that they used a Double in a Voyager uniform.
ReplyDeletePerhaps, but it wasn't an isolated error; literally every time I've seen one of Worf's DS9/NEM uniforms, there's been an inappropriate split in the pant legs.
